  • Players1
  • Time8 min
  • EquipmentRacquet, mirror or window reflection (optional)

Setup: Stand sideways to a mirror or open space. No ball needed.

  1. Unit turn with the left hand on the throat.
  2. Swing in slow motion to contact point in front.
  3. Finish with arms spread and chest sideways.
  4. Hold the finish for two seconds. Repeat 20 times.

Coaching cues

  • Left hand guides the racquet back
  • Straight arm at contact
  • Squeeze the shoulder blades

Common mistakes

  • Turning the chest toward the net
  • Leading with the elbow

Progression: Add dead-ball feeds and hold the finish after each hit.

Coach's note: Shadow swings are free reps. A few minutes daily builds muscle memory faster than you'd expect.
